What is "Veterans Chapel"?

Veterans Chapel is the name of the charitable nonprofit tax exempt Veterans ministry organization.

It is not a "church" per se, but a service organization through which the Chaplaincy conducts its activities.

 

What does Veterans Chapel do?

Veterans Chapel provides;

A) Chaplaincy services which are: Pastoral Care, Pastoral Counseling, Nursing Home Visitation, Incarcerated

Visitation, and Hospital Visitation. Spiritual literature is provided consistent with the Veteran's faith tradition.

Rituals are conducted upon request in accordance with the Veterans faith.

B) Public Officiant services which are: ceremonies, memorials, patriotic events, dedications, and

commemorations at which Clergy participation is requested.

C) Personal Officiant services which are: weddings, funerals, burials, and baptisms for which legally Ordained Clergy are required.

All services are provided free of charge to the Veterans involved.

 

What Denomination authorizes Chaplain Cohen as an Ordained Clergyman and Certified Chaplain?

Rev. Cohen is Ordained by the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.

He is also Ecclesiastically Endorsed by the Fellowship as a Chaplain.

Chaplain Cohen functions as a Missionary assigned to Delaware County for Veterans.

 

Aren’t Chaplains a violation of the separation of Church and State?

No. Chaplains actually help protect the Service member’s or Veteran’s right to freedom of religion.

Chaplains are inter-faith and non-sectarian. Chaplains serve anyone regardless of their faith background.

 

Do Chaplains discriminate on any religious or identity basis?

No. Chaplains serve anyone who requests them to without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other basis protected under applicable law. Chaplains defend an individual’s right to identify as they so desire.

 

What do the fundraisers and donations benefit?

Funds raised are utilized for the operational expenses of the ministry which in turn directly benefits the

Veterans served. Rev. Cohen does not require nor does he receive a salary as a Home Missionary.

 

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. Any and all donations received by Veterans Chapel are tax deductible.

Veterans Chapel is a tax exempt nonprofit charity recognized as a 501(c) 3 organization by the IRS.

 

What is “World Outreach”?

World Outreach is the Missionary “home office” which administers donated funds in accordance with nonprofit

law and IRS regulations. This ensures accountability and frees Rev. Cohen up to focus his efforts on serving.
